[Mary picks the little creature up,] I don't know what kind of animal this is, how this device even works, or where I am. Would someone please explain? I truly need to get home.

That brown furry creature is a called a - POKEMON! And there are hundreds that inhabit this world.

Most people use Pokemon for gym battles... Others such as - Team Rocket use Pokemon to steal from others.

Yes, you will but pulling your Pokemon closer to you won't help you.

You're going to have to learn on how to battle.

Of course! I've already decided I want my pokèmon to be strong so they don't get hurt in battles with gym leaders! Cassius seems to be eager to battle, but I wouldn't want him to get hurt too much.

[It's not a bad thing, Crocker is just surprised]

Less than a day. I'd rather no living being get hurt, though Cassius has been so sweet I don't want to put him in danger for my own purposes. If he wants to fight I won't stop him, but I will do my best to keep him healthy while he does.

Only a horrible person wouldn't care about their Pokmon!

[Which Crocker seems to have a light bulb go on his head at that. Because he took care of those dogs with rabies, even if he used them in the wrong way but he's known some Rocket members to not care for their Pokemon's care]

Does this mean I never was completely horrible?
